What happens when you delete your account?

When we receive your request, we will delete your account and associated data, unless we are required to retain certain information for legal or security reasons.

Here’s what will happen when your account is deleted:

• Photos you’ve uploaded will be deleted automatically after 24 hours (unless already removed earlier).
• Account data such as your email, username, display name, date of birth, and phone number will be removed.
• Location data disappears when your posts expire and is not stored permanently.
• Analytics and content interactions (such as votes, views, and engagement) are kept for a limited time to help us improve the service.
• Badges earned through your activity will be deleted along with your account.

How long does it take?

Account deletion is typically processed within 14 days. In some cases, certain data may be retained for longer due to legal or compliance requirements (e.g. backups, fraud prevention, legal obligations).
